Privacy Policy

1. What We Collect

When you use AliceTears (alicetears.com, lune.alicetears.com and other subdomains), we may collect: account information from Twitch OAuth login (username, Twitch ID, email if granted); chat messages and prompts you send to AI features; files you upload to tools such as transcription or infographic generation; payment and subscription status (handled by Stripe — we do not store your card details); and basic usage/device data (IP address, browser type, pages visited) for security and analytics.

2. How We Use It

We use this data to operate the Service (authenticate you, deliver AI responses, process payments and Coin balances, generate the files you request), to maintain security and prevent abuse, and to improve features. Chat and prompt content is sent to third-party AI providers (e.g. OpenRouter and the underlying model providers it routes to) solely to generate your response — not to train our own models.

3. Third-Party Services

We rely on service providers who process data on our behalf: Twitch (login/authentication), Stripe (payment processing), OpenRouter and its upstream AI model providers (generating chat, tarot, translation, and other AI content), and standard hosting/infrastructure providers. Each handles data under its own privacy policy; we only share what's necessary for them to perform their function. Most of these providers are based outside Thailand (principally the United States); by using the Service you acknowledge your data may be processed there, under that provider's own safeguards.

4. Cookies

We use essential cookies for login sessions and site functionality, and may use basic analytics cookies to understand aggregate usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling essential cookies may prevent login from working.

5. Data Retention

We retain account and chat data for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time (see Section 9).

6. Data Security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to withdraw consent for optional data processing. Contact us to exercise these rights.

8. Lune (AI VTuber) & Twitch Chat Data

Lune is an AI-generated character — you are not talking to a human. When you chat with Lune on Twitch (with or without a website account), we may store: your Twitch username; messages you send her and her replies; a short AI-generated memory profile built from that chat (things like your name, interests, or recurring topics); your reading history (tarot, runes, and similar); and, if you donate, the amount and any message attached. This is separate from, and in addition to, the account data described in Section 1.

We process this data on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating Lune's chat and memory features that make the stream interactive, weighed against your rights — you can ask us not to store the memory profile or reading history for your username at any time (Section 9) while still chatting with Lune anonymously.

Retention: chat-derived viewer data is kept only while you keep coming back. The 30-day clock is measured from your most recent chat message, reading, or donation with Lune — whichever is latest. If none of these occur for 30 consecutive days, all of the data listed above for that Twitch username is automatically and permanently deleted, via a daily automated job with no manual review step and no recovery once deleted. Reading history stored because you also hold a website account follows the account rules in Section 5 instead.

If you link a website account to your Twitch username, you can change this window yourself (1 to 180 days, or forever) or delete everything immediately, from your Profile → Data tab. Without a linked account, say !forget confirm in chat, or contact us (Section 9 below) for earlier deletion. We do not use your chat with Lune to train our own models; it is sent to third-party AI providers (Section 3) solely to generate her response.

Twitch chat is not age-gated on our end. If you are under the minimum age for data processing consent in your jurisdiction, please have a parent or guardian contact us (Section 9) so we can delete any data collected from you.

9. Contact & Changes

For privacy questions or data deletion requests, reach us via Discord (discord.gg/alicetears) or Twitch (twitch.tv/alicetears). We may update this Policy from time to time; continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated Policy.
